Airport security course ends at aviation academy

DHAKA, April 28, 2026 (BSS) – A specialised Airport Security Manager Course concluded today at the Civil Aviation Academy, aiming to strengthen security at the country’s airports and enhance professional skills of officials concerned.

The “Airport Security Manager Course-25”, which began on April 12, ended with a certificate distribution ceremony at the academy premises, said a press release here. 

Senior officials from different government and private organisations joined the course and received training on modern aspects of airport security management.

The training was conducted by Director of the Civil Aviation Academy and ICAO instructor Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty along with experienced aviation security experts.

Participants received detailed lessons on threat identification, risk analysis, passenger and cargo screening, X-ray image analysis, explosive detection techniques, aviation security regulations and guidelines of international organisations.

Attending the closing ceremony, CAAB Member (Security) Air Commodore Md Asif Iqbal said the knowledge and skills gained through the course would play an important role in further strengthening airport security systems across the country.
