68 crime suspects arrested in Tejgaon

DHAKA, May 8, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 68 individuals allegedly involved in various crimes during coordinated drives across several crime-prone areas of the capital.

According to a police press release, the arrests were made on Thursday as part of regular anti-crime operations conducted in different police station areas under the Tejgaon Division.

Among those arrested, 7 were detained from Tejgaon Police Station, 12 from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 23 from Mohammadpur, 6 from Adabor, 7 from Tejgaon Industrial Area and 13 from Hatirjheel Police Station areas.

DMP officials said the ongoing drives are aimed at maintaining law and order and curbing criminal activities in the capital. 

The arrested individuals were produced before the concerned courts following legal procedures.
