Three motorcyclists killed in Manikganj road crash

MANIKGANJ, May 9, 2026 (BSS) - Three motorcyclists were killed in a head-on collision between a concrete-laden truck and a motorcycle in Manikganj on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Alam, 16, son of Jahangir Hossain of Char Tilli village; Kalu Mia, 16, son of Billal; and Sona Mia, 22, son of Abdul Halim, all residents of the same area.

According to locals and police sources, the accident occurred when a Manikganj-bound truck collided head-on with the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Alam died on the spot, while critically injured Sona Mia and Kalu Mia were taken to Manikganj Medical College Hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
