KUET encourages innovation, social initiatives: VC

KHULNA, May 9, 2026 (BSS) - Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Professor Dr Muhammad Masud today said the innovative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit of youths would be one of the major strengths of future Bangladesh.

He said on Friday Hult Prize Bangladesh National Round 2026 plays an important role in developing leadership, creativity and global competence among students.

"KUET always encourages innovation, research and socially impactful initiatives," he said while addressing the competition held on the KUET campus.

The daylong competition, organised by Spectrum, a professional skill development organisation of KUET, brought together 60 teams from different universities across the country that qualified through campus rounds.

Team Denim Revive won the national championship and secured the opportunity to participate in the global incubation programme representing Bangladesh internationally.

The organisers said the Hult Prize is a global student entrepreneurship competition held in partnership with the United Nations.
