Azad visits historic Patli Canal associated with Ziaur Rahman’s memory

DHAKA, June 6, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad yesterday visited PM Khali area under Cox’s Bazar Sadar to inspect the historic Patli Canal, a site associated with the memory of former President Ziaur Rahman.

Member of Parliament from Cox’s Bazar-3 constituency Lutfur Rahman Kajal was also present during the visit.

During the inspection, they exchanged views on the development potential of the historically significant area, measures to alleviate water logging and various public welfare initiatives.

The visit, centered on the canal linked to the legacy of Ziaur Rahman, has generated considerable enthusiasm and optimism among the local residents regarding new opportunities and future development prospects.

The information was shared on the Facebook page of the media cell of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
