
DHAKA, June 20, 2026 (BSS) - Daily Ittefaq reporter Mohammad Didarul Alam and Dhaka Post Special Correspondent Mehedi Hasan Dalim have been elected president and general secretary respectively for 2026-27 tenure of the Supreme Court Reporters' Forum (SRF), a platform of journalists covering the judicial activities of the apex court.
Kalbela Head of News Kabir Hossain has been elected vice-president, while Baishakhi Television Senior Reporter Ejajul Haque Mukul has been elected joint secretary.
Star News' Emon Mahmud has been elected treasurer, Kaler Kantho Senior Reporter Piyas Talukder organisational secretary, Jamuna Television Staff Reporter Md Rabbi Hossain office secretary, bdnews24 Staff Reporter Imran Nafiz publicity and publication secretary, and The Daily Star's Sirajul Islam Rubel training and welfare secretary.
The five elected members of the executive committee are Channel i Special Correspondent Mazharul Hoque Manna, Agamir Shomoy senior reporter Mohammad Golam Rabbani, daily Samachar senior reporter Aminul Islam Mallik, Nagorik TV staff reporter Oliul Islam Rony, and Somoy TV staff reporter Syeda Sabrina Majumder
The names of newly-elected office bearers were declared by Chief of the SRF Election Conducting Sub-Committee Mazharul Hoque Manna.
The annual general meeting (AGM), chaired by outgoing president Masudur Rahman Rana, was addressed by Attorney General Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal, Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam, BNP Legal Affairs Secretary Barrister Badruddoza Badal, Supreme Court Bar Secretary Advocate Mohammad Ali, and senior lawyer Advocate Mohammad Shishir Manir, a member of the central working committee of Jamaat-e-Islami, as invited guests.
