DHAKA, June 20, 2026 (BSS) - Members of the law enforcement agencies specially police have arrested 42 suspected criminals through special 
operations from the city's Mirpur and Mugda areas.
 
"They were allegedly involved in various crimes under Mirpur and Mugda Police Station areas," said a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police 
(DMP) media division here today.

Mirpur Model Police Station conducted a special operation in various crime-prone areas on Friday and arrested 30, while Mugda police arrested 12 from 
its jurisdiction, it added.

The DMP press release said that police produced them before the court.

Police of Mirpur Model Police Station arrested Md Jahangir (50), Md Rabbi (18), Md Anwar Hossain (33), Hanzel (30), Md Rubel (35), Md Mizan (35), Abdur 
Rahim (32), Md Mehedi Hasan (23), Md Liton (35), Md Mannan (40), Md Roman (20), Md Faruk Mia (32), Md Shahinur (32), Md Babu Mia (38), Khandaker Mahbub 
Bappi (36), Md Fazlul Karim Shakil (36), Md Milan Khan Khadem (48), Md Mishu Hossain (39), Hasibul Hasan (21), Ahsan Chowdhury (22), Md Arman (23), Md 
Redowan (28), Md Shahidul Islam (50), Md Johnny Howlader (31), Md Nazmul Haque (32), Md Shanto (19), Mohammad (24), Md Mitu (25), Nargis Akhter and Md 
Abuach (27).

Mugda Police Station also arrested 12 suspected criminals including Md Shamim (22), Md Bahadur Talukder (30), Md Shaon (27), Md Ramim Khan alias Shanto 
(24), Md Munna (40), Saleh Mohammad (54), Rakib Hossain (24), Riya Akhter (19), Abu Hossain (29), Shanto Faisal Badsha (26), Simon Kabir Chowdhury (35) 
and Tarek Kabir Chowdhury (36).

The DMP release said that the arrested have been facing arrest warrant and regular cases.
