JCD distributes relief among flood victims in Banshkhali

DHAKA, July 11, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has extended its support to the people affected by the recent natural disasters and continuous heavy rainfall.

Under the guidance and supervision of the central committee, Chattogram South District Chhatra Dal organized food and emergency relief distribution among helpless, destitute, and flood-hit families in various areas.

Central Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir led the relief distribution program in Chattogram today. 

He visited the homes of the affected people, inquired about their well-being, and assured them of continued support during this crisis.

During his visit, Nasir Uddin met with the family of two-year-old Ismail Hossain, who drowned in the floodwaters in Banshkhali. 

He expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and handed over financial assistance to them.

On the first day of the relief program, essential items including rice, lentils, potatoes, dry food, pure drinking water, and other necessities were distributed among 500 families. 

Local residents welcomed this humanitarian initiative of the central Chhatra Dal and expressed their gratitude to the organization for standing by them during this disaster.

Speaking on the occasion, Central Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir said, Central Chhatra Dal has always stood by the people and will continue to do so in any future crisis or disaster. 

Leaders and workers from various tiers of Central Chhatra Dal, Chatogram City, and Chattogram  South District Chhatra Dal, along with local dignitaries and volunteers, participated in the relief distribution program.
