41 netted in special operations across three DMP police station areas

DHAKA, July 12 - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 41 people during special operations in the Jatrabari, Uttara West and Turag police station areas, police said on Sunday.

The arrests were made on Saturday as part of a drive targeting individuals accused of various criminal offences.
    
According to police, those detained were arrested in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding warrants and offences under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance.

The DMP said the special operations were aimed at maintaining law and order and preventing criminal activities across the capital, adding that similar drives would continue.

All of the arrested individuals have been produced before the competent court for further legal proceedings, police said.
