DHAKA, July 14, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 46 people in separate operations across the capital, including 43 suspects in the Tejgaon Division and three alleged drug dealers in Jatrabari.

According to DMP, the 43 suspects were arrested during routine drives in crime-prone areas on Sunday. 

Of them, 19 were held in Mohammadpur, 10 in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, six in Hatirjheel, three each in Adabar and Tejgaon Industrial Area, and two in Tejgaon. 

In a separate operation, Jatrabari Police's Sayedabad outpost arrested three alleged drug traffickers in two raids conducted on July 13 and 14. 

Police seized 1.8 kg of cannabis, 50 yaba tablets and Tk 2,620 believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
