
DHAKA, July 14, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and the
Bangladesh Air Force Women Welfare Association (BAFWA) have continued
humanitarian assistance and relief operations for flood-affected people in
different areas of Chattogram, Sylhet and Cox's Bazar districts.
An Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate release issued this
evening said BAF rescue teams, helicopters and the Disaster Management Cell
remain on round-the-clock standby to respond to any emergency rescue
operation.
Under the initiative and guidance of BAFWA President Saleha Khan, BAFWA
Regional Branch Chattogram today distributed essential dry food, safe
drinking water and emergency medicines among the flood-hit families in
several inundated areas of Anwara upazila in Chattogram.
At the same time, BAFWA Sub-Regional Branch Shamshernagar distributed relief
materials, including dry food, safe drinking water and emergency medicines,
among the flood-hit families in the Rajdighirpar area of Kamalganj upazila in
Moulvibazar district, the release mentioned.
Meanwhile, under the overall guidance of Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal
Hasan Mahmood Khan, BAF Base Cox's Bazar distributed dry food, safe drinking
water and emergency medicines among flood victims in the Rajakhali area of
Pekua upazila in Cox's Bazar district, the ISPR said.
The Air Chief has already directed all Air Force bases and units to carry out
humanitarian assistance activities and ensure overall support for people
affected by floods in adjacent areas.
BAF rescue teams, helicopters and the Disaster Management Cell are
maintaining round-the-clock readiness to undertake any emergency rescue
mission, the ISPR added.
