SAARC Secretary visits Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad

DHAKA, July 15, 2026 (BSS) - SAARC Secretary General Golam Sarwar has visited 
the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad.

The SAARC Secretary General was received by Bangladesh's High Commissioner to 
Pakistan Md. Iqbal Hossain Khan during the visit today, said a press release 
here. 

On the occasion, the Defense Adviser, Deputy High Commissioner, Press 
Counsellor, Counsellor (Consular), Head of Chancery, and officials and staff 
working at the High Commission, as well as SAARC Secretariat Director Md. 
Wasim Shahzad Chowdhury and other concerned SAARC officials were present.

The Secretary General toured Bangladesh's newly constructed Chancery Complex 
in the Diplomatic Enclave in Islamabad.

Secretary General Golam Sarwar exchanged greetings with all those present on 
the occasion. Later, he planted a tree in the High Commission premises.
