PSC chairman takes oath

DHAKA, Sept 6, 2026 (BSS) – The newly appointed Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian took oath today.

Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury administered the oath taking ceremony at the Supreme Court Judges lounge here in the city, according to a press release. 

It said that during the oath taking ceremony members, secretary and officials concerned of the PSC were present.

On September 2, 2026, the President appointed Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuiyan as PSC Chairman in the public interest under Article 138(1) of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Under Article 139(1) of the Constitution, he will serve as chairman for five years from the date he assumes office or until he reaches the age of 65, whichever comes earlier.
