75 arrested in Motijheel special drive

DHAKA, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 75 people in a special anti-crime drive across the Motijheel division.

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) statement issued today, the arrests were made on Sunday during raids in crime-prone areas under seven police stations.

Paltan police made the highest number of arrests at 20, followed by Khilgaon with 18. Motijheel and Shahjahanpur police each arrested 11 people, while Mugda arrested eight, Sabujbagh six and Rampura one.

The detainees were sent to court.
