Mohammedan face Dhaka Abahani in Fed Cup tomorrow

DHAKA, Jan 6, 2025 (BSS) - Spirited Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited take on their arch-rival Abahani Limited Dhaka in the much-anticipated grudge match of Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football scheduled to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.

In the day's another match of the group B fixture, Chittagong Abahani Limited face Fakirerpool Young Men's Club at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.

The traditional black and white Motijheel outfit, who are in good form in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, winning all their league matches, beat Abahani by 1-0 goal in the league and they must be looking forward to repeat the same performance against Abahani in the Tuesday's group match against their arch-rival.
 
Abahani Limited, on the other hand, must be aiming to take revenge for their league match defeat against Mohammedan.

Mohammedan Limited earlier made losing start in the meet as they suffered a solitary goal defeat to old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in opening group match but they bounce back to register an overwhelming 6-0 victory over Chittagong Abahani Limited in their second group match.

While the sky-blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited started the tournament with a 3-0 triumph over Chittagong Abahani Limited.

Meanwhile, Fakirerpool suffered a massive 6-0 defeat to Rahmatganj in their group opening match while Chittagong Abahani Limited, who are not the best in their form, lost both their group matches.

The port city team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka and went down a 6-0 defeat to Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.
