Fortis FC blank Brothers Union 2-0 in BPL

Dhaka, Apr 12, 2025 (BSS)- Fortis Football Club recorded their fourth win in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football defeating Brothers Union Club by 2-0 goals in a match held at Shaheed Brishreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Saturday.

In the day’s match, defender Kamacai Marma Aky and Gambian forward Pa Omar Babou scored one goal each for Forts who led the first half by 1-0 goal.

Earlier, in the first leg, Brothers Union played out to a 1-1 goal draw at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital.

Kamacai Marma Aky finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Fortis in the 45th minute and after the resumption Babou netted the second goal in the 60th minute of the match.

Brothers Union Club tried their best to stand a fight back in the match but they could not score any in the remaining proceeding.

With the day’s win, Fortis FC moved in fifth position in the league table with 17 points from 11 matches while the all orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club, standing at seventh position in the table, remained at their previous credit of 15 points playing the same number of matches.        

Earlier, in the first leg, Fortis Football Club shared point with Brothers Union Club when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in a match held at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital.
