DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - In an intensive 24-hour nationwide crackdown on illegal weapons and criminal activity, police have arrested 1649 more crime suspects, seized 10 firearms and 30.5 kilograms of gunpowder, large quantities of ammunition, and several crude bombs.

The seized firearms included foreign-made revolvers and pistols, said a press release issued by the Police Headquarters. 

Authorities have stated that such drives will continue as part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal arms circulation and strengthen public safety. 

Further investigations are currently underway.
