Prize distribution of Inter-Technology Cricket tournament held

DINAJPUR, June 30, 2025 (BSS)- Polytechnic Institute Computer Technology emerged champions while Architecture Technology finished as runners-up in the Inter-Technology Cricket tournament held at Polytechnic Institute venue today (Monday).

The cricket competition was organized by Polytechnic Institute on the occasion of Festival of Youth.

After the final, the closing ceremony and prize distribution ceremony was held with Polytechnic Institute principal Engineer Md. Abdul Wadud Mondal as the chief guest. 

Polytechnic Institute vice-principal Md. Abu Saim Jahan, teachers, staffs and students were present there.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, principal engineer Abdul Wadud Mondal said to build a drug-free school environment and a drug-free society focus would be needed on sports.

He said it's not enough to just take the initiative, teachers and parent representatives must play a vital role in instilling a sportsmanship spirit in students and creating a field-oriented environment.

At the same time, all need to come forward to create a safe environment at all levels of society. Only then would be possible to build a drug-free society.

Nayan, a student athlete from the participating Polytechnic Institute, said that if such games and activities continue throughout the year, students and young people would be busy in the festival of youth. Young students would be able to return from the path of drug violence.
