Women’s hockey team blank Hong Kong 3-0

DHAKA, July 7, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh women's hockey team blanked Hong Kong China by 3-0 goals in their last group match of the U-18 Women's Asia Cup Hockey held in the Chinese city of Dazhou  National Hockey training centre today.

After the barren first and second quarter, Kona Akter finally scored the first goal for Bangladesh in the 33rd minute and Airin Riya doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 41st minute of the match.

Rimon Sarika completed the winners’ tally scoring the third goal for Bangladesh in the 56th minute of the match. 

Earlier, Bangladesh women’s hockey team made losing start in the U-18 Asia Cup Hockey when they suffered a massive 11-0 defeat to strong Japan but they bounced back to register a 3-0 goal victory over Uzbekistan in their second match.
