DHAKA, Nov 21, 2025 (BSS)- Thailand and Chinese Taipei won their respective matches of the 2nd Women's Kabaddi World Cup held at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium at Mirpur today (Friday).

In the day's match, Thailand posted a huge 51-26 points win over all-loser Germany.

Thailand pushed Germany onto the back foot right from the start. Within just four minutes, they inflicted the first 'All Out' on Germany, followed by a second 'All Out' within seven minutes. By the 10th minute, Thailand had inflicted a third 'All Out,' taking a commanding lead of 28-1. The Thai team went into the break with a massive 33-4 lead.

Although Germany managed to put up some resistance in the second half, it was entirely insufficient to stop Thailand. Thailand eventually sealed the victory with a score of 51-26.

This marks Thailand's second consecutive victory. After starting their World Cup campaign with a loss to India, Thailand maintained their winning streak by defeating Uganda and Germany in their match of the Group.

Bangladesh and Thailand are set to face tomorrow (Saturday) at the same venue at 10:30 am.

Following the victory, Thai Captain Kamontip Tippichaikul, expressed her satisfaction with the team's form and shared her thoughts on the upcoming match against the hosts.

"It feels good to win two consecutive matches. We want to maintain this winning streak. Our next opponent is Bangladesh; they are the organizers of this tournament. The atmosphere here is very good. However, we want to win against them. We are not feeling any pressure regarding the match against Bangladesh."

Earlier in the day's first match, Chinese Taipei beat Zanzibar 71-19 after leading the first half 39-8.
