Bangladesh U19’s WC warm-up game washed out

DHAKA, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS)—Bangladesh Under-19 team’s first practice game against Pakistan for the upcoming Youth World Cup was washed out due to persistent rain at the Masvingo Sports Club on Saturday.

The Bangladesh youngsters reached 152-7 in 36.3 overs before the game was eventually abandoned, after play was halted six to seven times.

The Bangladesh team, however, will travel to Harare on Sunday, where they have a practice session scheduled for Monday.

They will play their second and last warm-up match against Scotland on Tuesday at Harare.

While, Bangladesh U19 team played their practice matches in Masvingo and Harare, they will play their opening World Cup game against India at Bulawayo on January 17.

The next match against New Zealand is also at Bulawayo on January 20 before the move to Harare to play the last group match against the USA on January 23.
