DHAKA, Feb 5, 2026 (BSS)- Anata Choudhury of Manha's Castle maintained his solo lead in the points table with maximum six points after the sixth 
preliminary round of the Spectrum Bangladesh National Cup Chess held at the Bangladesh Chess Federation's hall-room here today (Thursday).
 
Six players shared the second position with five points. They are Swarnavo Choudhury, Candidate Master (CM) Md. Sajidul Haque, CM Md. Azmaeen Parvez 
Sayor, Rayan Rashid Mugdho, Khondakar Nazre Mowla and Md. Moniruzzaman Masud.

Eleven players shared the third place with 4.5 points. They are FIDE Master (FM) Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, CM Md. Abu Hanif, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, CM Md. 
Masum Hossain, CM Sohel Chowdhury, Woman FIDE Master (WFM) Noshin Anjum, Sk. Rashedul Hasan, Md. Eftekhar Alam, Tahmidul Haque, Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Kazi Zarin Tasmin and Aiyan Rahman.
 
In the day's sixth round matches, Anata Choudhury defeated CM Md. Masum Hossain, Swarnavo Choudhury beat FM Md. Saif Uddin, CM Md. Sajidul Haque beat 
CM Zoar Haque Prodhan, Khondakar Nazre Mowla beat CM Md. Sariat Ullah, Md. Moniruzzaman Masud defeated FM Md. Sharif Hossain, CM Md. Abu Hanif beat Md. 
Sohel, CM Sohel Chowdhury defeated WCM Neelava Choudhury, Sk. Rashedul Hasan defeated Reazul Ahnaf Mohammad, Tahmidul Haque defeated Safayet Kibria Azaan, WCM Kazi Zarin Tasnim defeated Justin Matthias Baroi, while Aiyan Rahman beat 
Md. Ataur Rahman.

Meanwhile, the game between WFM Noshin Anjum and FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman ended in a draw.

Md. Eftekhar Alam split point with Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, Siam Chowdhury split point with CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed, Afzal Hossain Sacchu drew with CM Md. 
Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan, Miraj Uddin Ahmed split point with Md. Abdur Rauf Aziz and Arham Omar drew with Delwar Hossain.
