DHAKA, Apr 4, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh U-20 national football team will to return home this evening from Maldives after winning the coveted SAFF U-20 Championship title.

The Bangladesh team is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International airport at 6.35 pm.

Bangladesh beat India by 4-3 goals in penalty shoot out in the nail-biting final held at National Football Stadium in capital Mal‚, Maldives on Friday night.

The match rolled into a tie breaker after the regulation time ended in a goalless draw.

American expatriate Ronan Sullivan converted the fifth shot ensuring Bangladesh's title.
