DHAKA, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted a
one-day extension to the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to national
team pace bowlers Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana for their participation in
the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 tournament.
The decision has been made following a request from their PSL franchise
Peshawar Zalmi, as well as the Pakistan Cricket Board, the BCB said in a
press release here today.
"Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana were originally granted NOCs valid until April
12. Under the revised arrangement, both players have been permitted to remain
in Pakistan for Peshawar Zalmi's scheduled PSL fixture on April 13," the
release read.
The two cricketers will return to Bangladesh on April 14 to join the national
squad in preparation for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.
The Black Caps [New Zealand] will arrive in Bangladesh tomorrow for three
ODIs and as many T20 Internationals.
The series starts with the ODIs, with the first two matches on April 17 and
20 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital's Mirpur.
The third and final ODI and first two T20 matches will be held in Chattogram.
Mirpur will host the final T20 on May 2.
