DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS)—Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud is unlikely to feature in the opening round of the upcoming Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) after being sidelined with an elbow injury.

Hasan, who missed Bangladesh’s last ODI series against Pakistan, has been out of action since sustaining an injury to his right elbow.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) medical department indicated that he will require more time to regain full fitness.

The pacer is currently undergoing rehabilitation and has resumed bowling at around 70 percent intensity as part of his recovery process.

Meanwhile, Pakistan are scheduled to tour Bangladesh next month for a two-match Test series. Team management is optimistic about Hasan’s return during that series and is keen to have him available for selection.
