74 arrested in Tejgaon drive

DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a total of 74 individuals in the past 24 hours in connection with various criminal activities.

According to police sources, the drive was conducted today as part of routine operations aimed at maintaining law and order in the capital.

Among those arrested are Nepal Tia (19), Mujahid Mia (19), Abdul Mannan (37), Al Amin (32), Zahidul Islam Zahid (20), Rakib Babu (28), Falan (35), Liton Mia (38), Faruk Hossain alias Suman (36), Rubel (42), Nasir Uddin Khokon (48), Saddam Hawlader (36), Jamal (24), Hasan (20), and several others. 

All the arrested individuals have been sent to court for further legal proceedings.

Police officials stated that such drives will continue in order to curb crime and ensure a stable law and order situation across the city.
