Prime accused Moin arrested over CKDU Hospital extortion case

DHAKA, Apr 13, 2026 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested seven individuals, including prime accused Moin, in connection with an extortion case involving prominent kidney specialist Dr Kamrul Islam's Center for Kidney Diseases & Urology Hospital (CKDU Hospital) in Shyamoli of the capital.

According to a text message sent by RAB's Legal and Media Wing today, Moin was apprehended as the main accused in the case filed over the alleged extortion incident at the hospital. 

He was listed as the number one accused in the case.

RAB also confirmed that six other individuals were arrested in connection with the same incident.

However, their identities have not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, four associates of Moin had also been detained.
