DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - Telenor Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer today called on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Cabinet Division office in the Bangladesh Secretariat here this morning, Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman told BSS.

During the meeting, he said, the Telenor chief discussed the company's interest in developing the telecommunications sector and building digital infrastructure in Bangladesh.

Fasmer also discussed the company's ongoing activities in Bangladesh.

Telenor, a leading Norwegian telecom giant, presented various issues related to its investment and future plans in Bangladesh to the Prime Minister.

Senior officials from the concerned ministries and members of the Telenor delegation were present at the meeting.
