
RAJSHAHI, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - A two-day training programme for health assistants of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) was inaugurated on today on the occasion of the Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccination Campaign-2026.
The programme was formally inaugurated at the City Hall conference room of Nagar Bhaban.
Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attended the programme as chief guest. In his speech, he stressed coordination and sincere efforts from all concerned for the successful implementation of the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign.

The programme was presided over by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim. Dr Md Kamruzzaman, Divisional Coordinator of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Rajshahi Division, also spoke.
RCC Chief Health Officer Dr F A M Anjuman Ara Begum presented a detailed briefing on the objectives and activities of the programme, while RCC Secretary Sohel Rana was also present.
A total of 240 health workers of RCC are participating in the two-day training programme scheduled for today and April 16.
Speakers at the training highlighted the importance of the MR campaign, implementation strategies, field-level responsibilities and public awareness activities.
Officials said the training will play an important role in enhancing skills of participants and ensuring successful implementation of the MR vaccination campaign.
