Two brick kilns fined tk 3 lakh in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court has fined two illegally operated brick kilns a total of Taka 300,000 in Sadar upazila of the district.

Executive Magistrates Nahid Al Asif and Fardeen Monir Arnab from the DeputyCommissioner's Office conducted the mobile court on Sunday. 

During the drive, Rahi Bricks located in the Hularhat area was fined Taka 200,000 for illegally using firewood as fuel in brick burning.

With the assistance of the Fire Service, the kiln fire was also extinguished to prevent environmental damage.

Another establishment in the same upazila, Messrs Abhi Bricks, was fined Taka 100,000 for setting up a brick kiln without the required license and environmental clearance.

Deputy Director of the Department of Environment in Pirojpur, Nikhil Chandra Dhali, along with Fire Service and police personnel, were present during the operation.

Executive Magistrate Nahid Al Asif said a zero-tolerance policy is being maintained against illegal brick kilns to protect the environment.
