SSPL Sporting Club take solo lead

DHAKA, May 12, 2026(BSS)-SSPL Sporting Club took solo lead in the points 
table with eight points after the fourth round of Second Division Chess 
League held at Chess Federation hall-room today (Tuesday).

Mohakhali Prodip Sangha is now solely in 2nd position with 7 points. Six 
teams are shared the third position with six points. 

The teams are Spandan Bangladesh, ACP'B, Jhenaidah, Debonair Chess Club, 
Bangladesh Police Platinum Chess Club, Next Move Chess Club and Dabar Troiye 
Agrage Smaran Sangha.  

The day's fourth-round matches, SSPL Sporting Club defeated Spandan 
Bangladesh by 2.5-1.5 game points, Mahakhali Prodip Sangha beat Monmohon 
Chess Club, Mymensingh by 4-0 game points, ACPB, Jhenaidah defeated Gopalganj 
Chess Club by 3-1 game points, Debonair Chess Club defeated Chess Code 
Academy, Chattogram by 2.5-1.5 game points, Bangladesh Police Platinum Chess 
Club defeated Mohammadpur Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points, Dabar Troiye 
Agrage Smaran Sangha beat Orham Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points, Malibag 
Chess Club defeated The Innovators by 3-1 game points, Manha's Castle Junior 
defeated Bangladesh Police Gold Chess Club by 3-1 game points, Chess Club of 
Daffodil International defeated Goalanda Chess Club, Rajbari by 3-1 game 
points, Spandan Dhaka defeated Shaukat Osman Smriti Porishod by 3-1 game 
points and SSP Sporting Club defeated Checkmate King by 1-0 game points. 

Meanwhile University of Dhaka Chess Club drew 2-2 game points with Afroze 
Chess World and Next Move Sporting Club drew with Botiaghata Chess 
Association by 2-2 game points.
