SSPL Sporting Club maintain solo lead

DHAKA, May 14, 2026 (BSS)- SSPL Sporting Club maintained solo lead the points 
table with 12 points after the sixth round of the Second Division Chess 
League held at Chess Federation hall-room today (Thursday).

Bangladesh Police Platinum Chess Club and Mohakhali Prodip Sangha jointly 
shared the second position with nine round points.

Four team shared the third position with eight points. They are Chess Code 
Academy, Chattogram, Spandan Bangladesh, Golapbagh Chess Club and Orham Chess 
Club.

In the day's sixth-round matches, SSPL Sporting Club defeated ACP-B, 
Jhenaidah by 3.5-0.5 game points, Bangladesh Police Prime Chess Club beat 
Next Move Chess Club by 3-1 game points, Orham Chess Club defeated Debonaire 
Chess Club by 2.5-1 game points, Chess Code Academy, Chattogram won against 
Dabar Troiye Agrage Smaran Sangha by 3-1 game points, Golapbag Chess Club 
defeated Monmohon Chess Club, Mymensingh by 2.5-1 game points, Asad Chess 
Club beat The Innovators by 3-1 game points, Dhaka University Chess Club 
defeated Goalunda Chess Club, Rajbari by 3-1 game points, Manha's Castle 
Junior defeated Chess Club of Daffodil International University by 3-1 game 
points, Batiaghata Chess Association beat South Point Sports Club-Chess by 
2.5-1.5 game points, Spondon Dhaka defeated Next Move Chess Club by 3-1 game 
points, Checkmate Chess Club whitewashed Shaukat Osman Smriti Porishod by 4-0 
game points.

Meanwhile, Mahakhali Prodip Sangha drew with Spondon Bangladesh by 2-2 game 
points, Malibagh Chess Club split point with Mohammadpur Chess Club by 2-2 
game points, Bangladesh Police Prime Chess Club drew with Afroze Chess World 
by 2-2 game points while Bangladesh Police Gold Chess Club got 4-0 walkover 
against SSP Sporting Club.
