BCB announces HP squad for Zimbabwe A Series

DHAKA, June 3, 2026 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced 
its High Performance (HP) squad for a multi-format home series against 
Zimbabwe A later this month.

The series has been arranged as part of the BCB's ongoing efforts to 
strengthen the national team's player development pipeline and provide 
promising cricketers with competitive international exposure.

The tour will feature three one-day matches and two four-day games. The HP 
squad is scheduled to begin its preparation camp on June 6, while Zimbabwe A 
are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on June 3.

The squad includes several emerging talents, including Aliss Al Islam, 
Rohanat Doullah Borshon, Mushfik Hasan, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain and Rakibul 
Hasan. Other players in the HP setup are Moin Khan, Shahadat Hossain Dipu, 
Iftikhar Hossain Ifti, Amite Hasan, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Chowdhury Rizwan, 
Samiun Bashir Ratul and Ashiqur Rahman Shibli.

The one-day matches will be played on June 8, 10 and 13. The first two 
matches will be held in Bogura while Rajshahi will host the third fixture.

Following the ODI series, the teams will meet in two four-day matches at 
Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The first match is scheduled for June 
17-20, while the second will be played from June 24-27.

The HP squad for the first two ODIs comprises Zakir Hasan, Shahadat Hossain 
Dipu, Amite Hasan, Iftikhar Hossain Ifti, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Akbar Ali, 
Samiun Bashir Ratul, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain, Chowdhury Rizwan, Khaled Ahmed, 
Mushfik Hasan, Aliss Al Islam, Rohanat Doullah Borshon and Rakibul Hasan.
 
Several changes have been made for the third ODI. Ashiqur Rahman Shibli, 
Jaker Ali Anik, Robiul Islam, Abu Hashim, Moin Khan and Hasan Mahmud have 
been included in the squad, replacing Akbar Ali, Khaled Ahmed, Mushfik Hasan, 
Aliss Al Islam and Rakibul Hasan.
