BKSP emerged champions in TT

DHAKA, June 10, 2026 (BSS) - The third BKSP Cup Under-18 Tennis Tournament 
2026 concluded at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) today 
(Wednesday), with BKSP emerging as the overall team champions.

BKSP secured the top position by winning seven gold and equal silver medals 
across 10 events in both boys' and girls' categories.

Jhalokathi Tennis Club finished as runners-up with two gold medals, while 
Madaripur Tennis Club claimed third place with one gold and two silver 
medals.

BKSP Director (Training) Colonel Md. Golam Mabud Hasan attended the closing 
and prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest and distributed trophies among 
the winners'.
 
BKSP director (administration and finance) Dr. Lutfor Rahman was also present 
there.

Earlier, BKSP Director General Brigadier General Mohammad Saif Ullah formally 
inaugurated the five-day tournament.

In the individual events, BKSP dominated most categories. Adnan Nafis won the 
boys' singles (Under-12) title, while Zubayer Islam secured the boys' singles 
(U-14) championship. Partha Samaddar claimed the boys' singles (U-16) title, 
and Kabya Samaddar emerged champion in the boys' singles (U-18) category.

In the Boys' Under-18 doubles event, the BKSP pair of Kabya Samaddar and Apon 
won the championship title.

In the girls' events, Jahin Tasnim Manbha of BKSP secured the girls' U-12 
singles title, while the BKSP duo of Mitu and Halima won the girls' U-18 
doubles championship.
 
A total of 95 players from 13 teams representing BKSP, districts, clubs, and 
various sports organisations participated in the tournament across 10 events.
