
DHAKA, June 20, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Under-20 national football team will begin its residential training camp on June 30 at the Shams-ul-Huda Football Academy in Jashore as part of its preparations for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers.
The qualifying tournament will be held in Uzbekistan from August 25 to September 6, 2026, where Bangladesh have been drawn in Group B alongside hosts Uzbekistan, Syria, and India.
Earlier, on Thursday last, the Bangladesh U-20 national football team announced its pre-preliminary squad, marking the first phase of preparations under incoming head coach Gerard Jones (UK) ahead of the continental qualifiers.
The preliminary squad includes Ismail Hossain, SP Rafiz, Nahidul Islam, Raj Chowdhury, Yousuf Ali, Mithu Chowdhury, Abdul Tiyad, Sifat Shahriar, Azam Khan, Sani Das, Ishan Habib Riduan, Sheikh Sangram, Masud Rana, Chandon Roy, Sameul Raksam, Kamal Merdha, Ratul Hasan, Nazmul Huda Faysal, Md. Shafiq Rahman, Shorif Uddin Nirob, Md. Mahe Khan, Md. Manik, Rifat Kazi, Ashik, Joy Ahamed, Safiul Hasan, Moltaza Alam Himel, Ikramul Islam, Opu Rahman, Hadi Rahman, Siam Omit, Shawon Ritghil, Sabbir Islam, Eshan Mallik, Ibrahim Nawaz, Zidane Yousuf, Salah Uddin Shahed, Sree Sumon Soren, Murshed Ali, and Adam Abbas.
