Fruit festival organized in Rangpur amid colorful atmosphere

RANGPUR, June 19, 2026 (BSS) - The fruit festival organized by literary and cultural organization 'Firedekha' with poets and writers has captivated literary personalities and increased their interest in local fruits, making the rural heritage memorable.

 
The festival organized on Friday afternoon in the rural environment of the Amashu Kukrul area under ward no 4 of Rangpur City Corporation, the festival served various types of local seasonal fruits including mango, jam, jackfruit, latkon and many others. 

 
Participants tasted local fruits and exchanged views on their nutritional value and heritage at the event.

 
Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police and Commandant of Rangpur Range Reserve Force (RRF) Abdur Razzaque attended the programme as a chief guest.

 
The event was presided over by Firedekha President Taposh Mahmud and moderated by Shakil Masud. 

 
Professor Md Atahar Ali Khan, former regional director of Bangladesh Betar, Rangpur Monwara Begum, writer and essayist Rezaul Karim Mukul, writers Abdur Rashid, Nil Ratan Sarkar, Rakibul Islam, Abdul Quddus, Masum Morshed, Sharif Ur Rahman, Mahbub Rahman and other prominent figures from various walks of life were present.
