DHAKA, July 20, 2026 (BSS)- The Bangladesh national women's kabaddi team took 2-1 lead in the five-match bilateral kabaddi test series beating touring 
Nepal women's kabaddi team by 31-23 points in the third match held today (Monday) at the National Kabaddi Stadium in the capital.

The match began with both teams displaying an attacking intent, setting the stage for a fiercely contested encounter. 

Although Bangladesh maintained the lead for most of the first half, the touring side continued to challenge strongly. In the 10th minute, Bangladesh 
inflicted the first all-out on Nepal and opened up a commanding 17-10 advantage.

However, Nepal responded impressively after falling behind. A successful super raid earned Nepal three valuable points, reducing the deficit. 
Bangladesh went into the halftime break with a 17-13 lead.

After the restart, Bangladesh added a few more points in an attempt to widen the gap, but Nepal kept fighting to get back into the contest. 

The hosts eventually sealed a 31-23 victory, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.

Bangladesh won the opening match of the series, while Nepal bounced back to level the series with victory in the second encounter.
 
The crucial fourth match will be played tomorrow (Tuesday) at the same venue at 4 pm.
