DHAKA, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) - The government has eased public procurement rules to buy one lakh tonnes of rice from international market through private suppliers in a shorter time.

The approval came from the 5th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs (ACCEA) held in this year at the Cabinet Division Conference Room at Bangladesh Secretariat today.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed presided over the meeting.
