LALMONIRHAT, June 2, 2025 (BSS) - Import-export activities through Burimari Land Port in Lalmonirhat district will remain suspended for 10 days from June 5 due to the Eid-ul-Azha.

A letter signed by ASM Niaz Nahid, general secretary of Burimari Customs Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Agent Association, confirmed the information.

The decision was made after discussions with exporters, importers, C&F agents, and businessmen from both countries. Although trading through the port will be closed, people with passports and visas can still cross through the Burimari immigration outpost, said Niaz Nahid.

Burimari C&F Agent Association informed the Department of Agricultural Extension, Burimari Duty Station, traffic division of the port, Immigration Police, and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), as well as the Indian offices of Changrabandha port, import-export association, and C&F agent welfare association about the closure.

Burimari Land Port Revenue Officer Rashedul Islam said internal operations of the port will continue, except for government holidays in customs.

Faruk Ahmed, president of Burimari Customs Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Agent Association, said the operation of the port will resume on June 15.
