Remittance inflow witnesses 18.9pc growth till Oct 12

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 18.9 percent reaching $1,181 million in the first 12 days of October, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.

Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $993 million.

During the July to October 12, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $8,787 million, which was $7,536 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
