DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - The National Board of Revenue (NBR) today
clarified that no new order or restriction has been issued by the customs
authorities regarding import and export operations at Benapole Land Port.

In a press release, the NBR said that some national newspapers and media
outlets had published or broadcast reports claiming that import-export
activities at Benapole were being halted after 6:00 PM. The Board termed
these reports incorrect and misleading.

"The entry of imported goods into Bangladesh and the exit of export goods
from Bangladesh are continuing as usual in accordance with existing
procedures," the NBR statement said.

It urged all service recipients not to be misled by such news and to continue
receiving services from Benapole Customs authorities as before.

The NBR also called upon all print and electronic media to help remove
confusion and convey accurate information to the public.
