25.9pc growth of remittance inflow till Feb 15

DHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 25.9 percent reaching $1,655 million in the first 15 days of February, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,315 million.
 
During the July to February 15, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $21,088 million, which was $17,276 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
