CHATTOGRAM, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 459 temporary employees of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) have been granted permanent status.

Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain announced the decision while addressing a meeting with the employees at the corporation’s head office in Tiger Pass today.

The employees, who had been working on a temporary basis, were appointed to 19 different positions across technical, administrative and support services.

The mayor said that 1,450 temporary employees have been regularised under his leadership over the past one year.

He emphasised the importance of skilled manpower in implementing the ongoing development projects of CCC and praised the dedication and professionalism of the employees.

The mayor also assured job security for those who have been serving on a temporary basis for a long period.
