21.2pc growth of remittance inflow till Feb 16

DHAKA, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 21.2 percent reaching $1,807 million in the first 16 days of February, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,490 million.
 
During July to February 16, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $21,240 million, which was $17,452 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
