27.5pc growth of remittance inflow till Feb 18

DHAKA, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 27.5 percent reaching $2,126 million in the first 18 days of February, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.

 Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,667 million.
 
During July to February 18, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $21,559 million, which was $17,629 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
