DHAKA, March 12, 2026 (BSS) – The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) PLC has significantly advanced its digital transformation agenda by granting Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Certification to 11 additional brokerage houses.

This milestone empowers these firms to bypass the exchange’s standard interface and deploy their own independent Order Management Systems (OMS) via Application Programming Interface (API) connections, said a press release today.

By integrating into the Broker Hosted Order Management System (BHOMS) framework, these firms can now connect directly to the bourse's NASDAQ matching engine.

This technical decentralization allows brokerages to offer institutional and retail investors a more sophisticated, proprietary trading experience characterized by reduced latency and customized user interfaces.

The newly certified firms are N.F. Management Company Ltd, Akij Capital Management Ltd, Amar Securities Ltd, Commerce Bank Securities and Investment Ltd, Mona Financial Consultancy and Securities Ltd, Premier Bank Securities Ltd, Prilink Securities Ltd, Pubali Bank Securities Ltd, Remons Investment and Securities Ltd, Skyline Securities Ltd and United Securities Ltd.

The certification ceremony was held today at the DSE Multipurpose Hall, where DSE Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar formally presented the certificates to representatives of the 11 brokerage houses.

The event was attended by senior exchange officials, including Chief Operating Officer Mohammad Asadur Rahman (FCS), Chief Technology Officer Dr. Md. Asifur Rahman, General Manager of the ICT Division Md. Tariqul Islam, and Deputy General Manager Hasanul Karim.

During her address, Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar provided historical context to the exchange's modernization efforts, noting that the strategic drive to implement API-based BHOMS began in 2020.

She emphasized that the certification process ensures that independent systems developed by brokers are fully compatible with the exchange's core NASDAQ matching engine, ensuring market stability and execution efficiency.

The project has seen steady momentum since its inception.

To date, 76 brokerage houses have applied for API connection across the bourse.

Of those applicants, 58 houses have received FIX Certification, a total that includes the 11 most recent recipients.

Following their certification, 44 brokerage houses have already successfully launched their own Order Management Systems (OMS) via API.
