25.9pc growth of remittance inflow till April 8

DHAKA, April 9, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 25.9 percent reaching US$975 million in the first eight days of April, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $775 million.
 
During the July to April 8, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $27,184 million, which was $22,560 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
