14.6pc growth of remittance inflow till April 25

DHAKA, April 26, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 14.6 percent reaching $2,578 million in the first 25 days of April, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $2,251 million.
 
During the July to April 25, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $28,787 million, which was $24,036 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
