BNP distributes blankets among cold-stricken people in Taraganj

RANGPUR, Jan 14, 2025 (BSS) - Under the directives of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, the party distributed 1,100 blankets among cold-hit people in Taraganj upazila here this afternoon.

Rangpur district BNP convener Md Saiful Islam distributed the blankets at a function held at Chakla Government Primary School ground under Taraganj upazila as the chief guest.

Taraganj upazila BNP organised the function with its convener Advocate Md Makhdum Alam in the chair.

Rangpur district BNP member-secretary Md Anisur Rahman Laku, Taraganj upazila BNP member-secretary and former student leader Mehedi Hasan Shipu, Upazila BNP senior joint convener Md Sirajul Islam, joint convener Md Sabu Khan, Alampur BNP member-secretary Rashed Khan Menon, Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Mohiuddin Kajal, and its member-secretary Akhteruzzaman Shuvo, among others, were present.

"BNP is the party of the soil and its people, 
Md Saiful Islam said, adding that BNP is the symbol of Bangladesh's independence. 

"We are proud that our leader Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was a sector commander during the Liberation War and he declared independence of the country," he said.

"BNP will always remain country's people whether it remains in power or not as the party does not do the politics for power."
