KMP's future plan for building safe Khulna metropolis

KHULNA, Jan 19, 2025 (BSS)- Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has adopted
various time-fitting measures along with announcing a future plan with the
commitment of building the Khulna city as safe through improving law and
order and combating the crimes.

KMP Commissioner Zulfikar Ali Haider revealed the plan in a press-briefing at
the KMP Headquarters here today depicting the success of the ongoing anti-
crime drives.

He told the journalists that they will organize view-sharing meetings with a
cross-section of people to reduce crimes through generating awareness among
the public in general.

Apart from setting up joint-check posts at different points they will conduct
special drives at the crime spots from afternoon to 10 pm.

"We will announce a bounty to arrest the 12 top-listed criminals
immediately," he added.

Commissioner Zulfikar Ali Haider said they have plans for distributing
'awareness cards' among the citizens to make them aware and alert about their
safety.

"We will encourage people to set up CC cameras and arrange training for the
easy bike drivers," he mentioned.

He also said there are various challenges, including efficiency and
professional deficiency among the police members besides deficiency in the
field of abiding by law among the public apart from deplorable condition of
some of the roads, to attain the cherished goal of building a safe city.
